I’ve got a case of laryngitis so our Strategic Director Barnett Zitron has this message for you: vote for Why Tuesday? in the MySpace IMPACT Awards today! Two days left, and we’re down by 10%. Why Primacaucus?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont vote this Tuesday. Texas has some of the most confusing voting rules in the entire country — you can actually vote twice in one day! Some people call Texas’ system the “Texas Two Step.” Others are calling it a primacaucus — a hybrid of a primary and caucus. (more…)

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – The federal holiday officially listed as Washington’s Birthday, in 1971 was shifted to honor both President Lincoln (who was born on February 12th) and President Washington (who was born on February 22nd), resulting in the three-day break on the third weekend of every February. In France they last voted on a Sunday. France is despite the Bourbon legacy a largely Catholic country, yet they vote on Sunday...

I think weekend voting would make the most sense, as people wouldn't have tu run home after work or wake up early to hit the polling stations beforehand.
