REP. SLAUGHTER AND WHY TUESDAY CO-FOUNDERS CALL FOR MEMBERS TO PUSH WEEKEND VOTING ACT ON ELECTION DAY

November 7, 2017 – Washington, DC. Martin Luther King III, Bill Wachtel and Norm Ornstein join Rep. Louise Slaughter and other members in pushing the importance of The Weekend Voting Act. “There is nothing special about holding elections on a Tuesday when so many find it difficult to vote. It is past time to give all voters a clear path to the ballot box and that begins with passing the Weekend Voting Act,” said Slaughter.

I think weekend voting would make the most sense, as people wouldn't have tu run home after work or wake up early to hit the polling stations beforehand.
