RECOUNT Debuts Tonight on HBO

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

HBO Films’ RECOUNT debuts tonight. Last week I was in Washington, D.C. and stopped by National Public Radio to tape a simultaneous vlog and radio interview with Ari Shapiro, this week’s host of Weekend Edition Sunday. We taked about how the film — like our work at Why Tuesday? — is raising questions about the state of America’s voting system.

I also shot some other behind-the-scenes footage at NPR with Political Editor Ken Rudin and White House Correspondent David Greene.

Kevin Spacey, Bob Balaban, Ed Begley Jr., Laura Dern, John Hurt, Denis Leary and Tom Wilkinson star in RECOUNT, and it’s directed by Jay Roach. Watch the trailer below.

If you missed it, check out our visit to HBO’s RECOUNT promotional stunt in Los Angeles. They had folks mock-voting on the infamous Votomatic voting machines that were trouble in Florida.
