SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA — Just had a moment (literally) to catch up with the Governor of this fine state at the CNN/Los Angeles Times/Politico debate here. His prescription for increasing voter participation? Watch the video.

What are the presidential candidates’ positions on increasing voter participation? Check out the Why Tuesday? Candidate Challenge. Three of the candidates at the debate here have responded: Governor Huckabee, Senator McCain and Congressman Paul. Governor Romney? Not so much.

There is no doubt in my mind that there would be higher voter turnout on Saturday than Tuesday. Most people work on Tuesday, and getting to the polls (usually before or after work) and often standing in long lines can be a time-consuming hassle...
