iChat Interview: Lee Brenner of MySpace IMPACT

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Earlier this month we brought you the results of the MySpace IMPACT Presidential Primary poll. One stat that we found particularly interesting here: 11,453 votes were cast for making Election Day a national voting holiday in order to increase voter turnout. That was 41.26% of the vote for that question.

Today I had a chance to interview, live via iChat, Lee Brenner, the Director of MySpace IMPACT, who was in Washington, D.C., about the results of the poll and what New Media means to this election cycle. The video is after the jump.

There is no doubt in my mind that there would be higher voter turnout on Saturday than Tuesday. Most people work on Tuesday, and getting to the polls (usually before or after work) and often standing in long lines can be a time-consuming hassle...
