SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE UNIVERSITY — Greetings from the press filing center at the MySpace/MTV presidential dialogue with John McCain. You can watch the event, co-hosted by WT? Advisory Board member Gideon Yago, live now on MTV and online at MySpace. Speaking of MySpace, check out our new MySpace profile by clicking the thumbnail at right.
Senator McCain is one of the three presidential candidates (of 16!) who have yet to respond to the Why Tuesday? Candidate Challenge and talk with us on video about his feelings about the state of the voting system here in the United States.
I’m here with Barnett and Tom, and we’ll be monitoring the forum for talk about the state of our voting system, and election reform. You can submit a question for Senator McCain via MySpace IM now. After the debate we’ll be sure to try and catch up with the Senator and ask him respond to the Challenge. Stay Tuned.
Also in the house:
Josh Levy of techPresident
Jim Geraghty of National Review
Mary Katharine Ham of Townhall
* 7:30PM EST Update: No questions about the voting system yet. First commercial break. Stay tuned.
* 7:47PM EST Update: Senator McCain compliments MTV and the students here for the quality of the questions asked. Yet no question yet about elections even though voting is the right on which all others depend.
* 7:57PM EST Update: Senator McCain is getting ready to wrap up, and he’s giving reasons for people to turn out to vote. I’m going to hang out backstage and see if I can get him to respond to the Challenge on his way out the door.

McCain’s sons are serving this country. As a pilot in the service to his country, McCain “puts his money where his mouth is.” I will sleep a lot better at night knowing that President John McCain’s steady hand is at the helm. We are very naive if we do not recognize the complexities and dangers of the world. He respects the rule of law and has the integrity to speak the truth. Please, let’s give him a chance. He’s earned it.
