Tom & Jacob @ MTV

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA — Sitting in the way way back row of the MTV and MySpace presidential dialogue with Barack Obama. WT? advisory board member Gideon Yago is one of the event’s hosts. No question about election reform yet, but stay tuned here for updates.

It’s hot in the rafters. After the event there will be a rally. If Obama isn’t asked directly about election reform during the event, we’ll try and bring the Why Tuesday? Candidate Challenge to him there. BTW here’s our profile on thinkMTV

* 1:04PM CDT Update: The top video question from our friends at 10Questions is supposed to be asked at the forum. Stay tuned to see that as well, hasn’t popped up yet. Josh Levy is also liveblogging at techPresident.

* 1:14PM CDT Update: By the way, you can watch the forum tonight on MTV, or live NOW by clicking this link.

* 1:17PM CDT Update: This question from 10Questions is being played on the big screen about net neutrality… and Obama is getting ready to answer it…. and he says supports net neutrality. But what about election reform?

* 1:31PM CDT Update: Forum is over. No election reform question. Gonna try and bring the Challenge to Obama.

* 2:20PM CDT Update: Got a chance to talk to Obama! His response to the Why Tuesday? Candidate Challenge will be online tonight. Stay tuned!

* 4:13PM CDT Update: Before heading back to D.C. forum co-moderator Chris Cillizza gets a quick blog about what Obama had to say at The Fix. He was sitting a few feet away from me while blogging but I didn’t get a chance to say hey. If you’re reading this, hey Chris. Nice job.

* 10/30 Update: The video of my day at the forum and my interview with Obama is here.
