Don’t forget poll workers

Poll workers are an extremely important part of the process we call voting. Apparently two million of us serve as poll workers! But unfortunately, according to electionline.org, a project of the Pew Center on the States, poll workers are subject to “uneven training, low pay and increasingly complex job requirements.” What does that mean for the voters of America? There is no doubt in my mind that there would be higher voter turnout on Saturday than Tuesday. Most people work on Tuesday, and getting to the polls (usually before or after work) and often standing in long lines can be a time-consuming hassle...
